It depends on the target format. Converting to JPG or WebP uses lossy compression, so you can control quality with the slider (we default to 92% which looks identical). Converting to PNG, BMP or TIFF is lossless — no quality is lost.
Yes. Since JPG doesn't support transparency, you can choose a background fill color (white or black) in the settings. The transparent areas will be filled with that color in the output JPG.
